Yet very few companies have the luxury of being able to completely rebuild their production facilities on a so-called greenfield site.<\/p>\n<p>The next meeting of the IT working group will focus on successfully integrating &#8220;existing&#8221; systems (legacy systems) into the further developed IT infrastructure.<\/p>\n<p>Using the example of a production plant from the clinical sector, Josephine M\u00fcller-Gorski, Group Lead Global Device Integration at Miltenyi Biotec, explains fundamental issues in planning and implementation. It shows how the necessary interaction of Operation Technology (OT, the IT-supported operating technology for controlling plants) and contemporary IT infrastructure can be designed.
